Destiny – Poem by Lola Hornof

Her name said it all,

Destiny,

She felt she was meant for better things,

Better than now,

This was what gave her so much hope,

As she trudged through the days,

She thought of her dreams,

How will I achieve them?

The biggest one,

To sing and dance,

As she walked along,

She saw a flyer on a pole,

A singing contest,

With real agents,

Smiling,

She knew,

She had to go,

So she went,

Her destiny.
